Join
FDS and support our efforts to help families and friends
of current drug users as well as bereaved families.
Family support is a key factor in motivating drug users
to control or reduce their drug use and move to a drug-free
life.
We
recognise the vital role that families and friends play
in helping drug users maintain good health and regain
a normal life. We help families by providing information
and appropriate support through our telephone support
line and the FDS INSIGHT newsletter.
Family
Drug Support have also produced a parent help and information
kit entitled A GUIDE TO COPING to aid
parents, families and friends of drug users. The kit
was designed to fill the serious gap in the availability
of information and support. This resource also provides
help on how to deal with crisis situations such as overdose
and up-to-date information on treatment options.
We
believe that by helping families of drug users we are
ultimately helping the user. To achieve this we need your
support. We mostly run on a volunteer basis with a small
grant from the government. Therefore your subscription
and/or donation will enable our organization to continue
its work.
Membership benefits include:
A free copy of A GUIDE TO COPING , FDS Insight
bulletin for 12 months, invitations to events and discounts
on activities and groups. Membership is $20 for the
first year and $20 for subsequent years.
Members
may purchase additional copies of A GUIDE TO COPING for a cost of $5.00 plus $3.00 postage per copy. If extra ordered please ring office for postage costs.
If
you wish to join/donate to FDS please

On-line Form. To renew your membership go to the Renewal Form. You can either submit your details
by electronic means from a secure server where
your details are encrypted against hackers and
snoops or print the form after either filling it out on
line or print the blank form, fill in with a pen and post
or fax together with your payment or credit card details.
The on line submission is your most secure of all methods.
